Fault Loop Impedance & Earth Bonding Testing (IEC EN 60204-1)
Neuguard provides fault loop impedance and earth bonding testing to verify the effectiveness of protective measures against electric shock in accordance with IEC EN 60204-1 and BS 7671 where applicable.
Testing confirms that protective conductors, bonding arrangements, and automatic disconnection of supply meet the required impedance and continuity criteria to ensure timely fault clearance under fault conditions. Measurements are performed using calibrated test instrumentation, with results assessed against the relevant protective device characteristics and disconnection times. A structured test report is issued for inclusion within the technical file or inspection record, providing clear evidence that the machine’s earthing and protective bonding systems are electrically sound and compliant.
